Genius In The Hood , our upcoming initiative, is a program designed to provide mentorship and innovative training opportunities for young people in under-resourced neighborhoods. Through this project we provide over eight months of creative workshops, career training and community engagement opportunities.
Operating under the umbrella of the GOAT Movement, the Slauson Rec. Theater Company is a performing arts initiative run by Donte Johnson, Cyrus Hobbi and a small number of dedicated volunteers. They routinely host established creatives from the film and television industries, facilitate acting and writing workshops and organize much beloved performances for the community.
